Presentation - CIHAM (UMR 5648) & SEMH-Sorbonne (medieval component of CLEA, EA 4083)

par webmaster - 25 août 2009

The CIHAM (UMR 5648) and the SEMH-Sorbonne (medieval component of CLEA, EA 4083) are the two main groups of specialists of medieval Spain, in France. Both are interdisciplinary and notably include linguists, philologists, literature specialists, iconologists and historians, which are the only fields concerned by the scientific project of AILP. Those teams have worked together for many years. Numerous colloquia, lectures and seminars were organized jointly, especially under the aegis of the prolific GDR 2378 (SIREM), which lasted from 2001 to 2008. The results of a research study led for a long time in close collaboration were widely diffused by two reviews : one on paper (Cahiers d’études hispaniques médiévales, published every year), the other, electronic (e-Spania, published every semester).
