The specific contribution of the team “Relations of Conflict in their Representative Practices” (Madrid Complutense University) will be a thorough study of a research theme now relegated by the consensus ideology (conflict) and a field of research launched as a pioneer idea about twenty years ago but still innovative and cleverly systematic about the representations (public symbols, rites and ceremonies) viewed as doctrinal reflections and also instruments of the exercise of power (José Manuel Nieto Soria). The iconological dimension –in the general sense– of powers will here find one of the major poles of its study (Olga Pérez Monzón).
